Mail Order Murder and the Lie That Makes It Possible
The Abortion Pill Is Dangerous. The FDA Knows It. And The Abortion Industry Is Lying About It.
The abortion pill is dangerous. The FDA knows it. And the abortion industry is lying about it.
You have probably never heard of a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy. Most people haven’t, and the abortion industry is counting on that. But once you understand what it is and what it means, you will have in your hands one of the most devastating questions you can ask anyone who defends the abortion pill.
Here’s the lie: they say mifepristone, the first drug in the two-drug abortion pill regimen, is safer than Tylenol. Safer than ibuprofen. Medications you can walk into any grocery store and pull off the shelf without a prescription, without a doctor, without anyone asking a single question.
They say it with confidence. They say it repeatedly. They say it knowing most people will never think to push back.
Push back.
Because the agency they are asking you to trust has already told you everything you need to know. They are just working as hard as they can to bury the findings and silence the opposition.
What the Abortion Pill Actually Does
To understand why the FDA flagged mifepristone, you need to understand what it actually does to a woman’s body.
Pregnancy depends on a hormone called progesterone. From the earliest moments after conception, a woman’s body produces it to sustain the life growing inside her. It increases blood flow to the uterus. It stabilizes the placenta. It keeps the womb relaxed and nourishing so that the child can grow. Without it, the pregnancy cannot survive.
Mifepristone is designed to block it.
When a woman takes the abortion pill, that hormone is cut off. The blood flow that was feeding her child begins to diminish. The tissue that was holding everything in place starts to break down. And then a second drug is administered to force her body into labor, expelling the child at a stage of development where survival outside the womb is impossible.
That is what the abortion industry calls safe.
But the dangers do not end with the child. Roughly half of all women are wrong about how far along their pregnancy is when they take the pill. If a woman is further along than she realizes, the risk of hemorrhage increases dramatically. She may bleed heavily enough to need a blood transfusion. She may need emergency surgery. She may not make it to the hospital in time.
And there is another danger most women are never told about. If a woman has an ectopic pregnancy — a pregnancy growing outside the uterus — the abortion pill will not end it. It cannot. But it will mask the symptoms long enough for that ectopic pregnancy to rupture. A ruptured ectopic pregnancy is a medical emergency. Without immediate intervention, it is fatal. A woman in a rural area, hours from the nearest hospital, taking a pill she ordered online, may not get that intervention in time.
There are women who have died this way. Women who believed what they were told. Women who had every reason to trust that what they were taking was as safe as something they could buy off any drugstore shelf. They took the pill. They went home. And they never got the help they needed in time because nobody told them the danger was real.
England introduced mail order abortion pills in 2020. Since then, over 54,000 women have been hospitalized from abortion pill complications — nearly 11,000 every year. That analysis was not conducted by a pro-life organization. It was conducted by Kevin Duffy, the former director of a pro-abortion organization called MSI Reproductive Choices. You can verify that yourself here.
This is what is being mailed to women across the country in an envelope with a postage stamp. This is what the abortion industry calls safer than Tylenol.
What the FDA Actually Says
The FDA has approved more than 20,000 medications for use in the United States — a conservative estimate according to physicians who have tracked the data, and a number that has only grown since. Of all of them, fewer than 60 carry a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy. That is 0.3%. Less than one third of one percent. That is the short list of drugs the FDA considers risky enough to require additional safeguards beyond a standard prescription — extra monitoring, mandatory evaluations, specific requirements that must be met before the drug can be dispensed.
Mifepristone is on that list. Tylenol is not. Ibuprofen is not. Those medications sit on any shelf in any store in America because the FDA determined their risk profile does not warrant special restrictions.
Mifepristone warranted them.
The abortion industry wants you to believe the FDA’s own safety classification system is wrong. That the same agency they invoke as their authority somehow got this one backwards. That a drug requiring special federal safeguards is actually safer than one requiring nothing at all.
That is not a medical argument. That is a lie dressed up as one.
The Verdict
They are lying. They know they are lying. And they are lying specifically because the truth threatens their bottom line. More restrictions on the abortion pill means fewer abortions. Fewer abortions means less money. That is the calculation being made while women are told the pill arriving in their mailbox is as safe as something they take for a headache.
Women are bleeding to death believing that lie.
You now know the truth. And you have the FDA’s own record to prove it.
The next time someone tells you the abortion pill is safer than Tylenol, ask them one question: if that’s true, why does Tylenol not have a REMS?
Then wait. Because they will not have an answer.
